Racial profiling

Racial profiling. It is a bad and active thing. Racial profiling is when you group, judge, or mistreat people because of their race. Our country has a bad rep for it, and it should be stopped. We have done this to so many people in history like the african americans, the cherokee, the japenese, and currently people from the middle east. This kind of act is unreasonable for any time, even during war, and there is no excuse for it. All people are equal no matter what the color of there skin is, just because someone is not white doesn't mean your better than them. It happened in the past alot between slavery, removal of indians and the Japenese internment camps. You would think that after all this time we would learn not to judge people because of their race, but we still haven't. People from the middle east are being mistreated today just like people we have profiled in the past, and we need to put a stop to this. Just because someone has the same color skin as someone has done wrong doesn't mean that they are the same as them. We need to stop judging people by their race, the color of their skin, and start treating people as individuals. Imagine being whispered about and stared at and just plain mistreated just because of the color of your skin. How would that make you feel? I bet it wouldn't feel good. We need to start thinking of people as our equals and stop thinking about what people look like. Everyone deserves being treated the same. So start doing that!!!!!!

You made some good points. I liked that you included how people are mistreated because of their skin color. I always forget to mention that in my writing. I also liked how you included other groups that have been subject to racial profiling like the cherokee and african americans. I forgot about them too. I agree that people should be judged by the content of their heart and not the color of their skin. Unfortunately, I also agree that racial profiling is still a big issue. I think something that we both forgot about is how those other groups are still discriminated against. "Blacks are gangsters" is one of the ways that African Americans are still subject to racial profiling. I think we have pretty much the same argument but your choice of words made yours better.
